UpToDate® Pathways includes interactive treatment algorithms for common medical conditions with variable treatment outcomes. It supports treatment decisions by allowing choices to be made regarding specific conditions, such as the patient's condition, comorbidities, and previous treatments.

Pathway content development focused on:

* Known treatment differences related to general medical conditions.

* The most searched topics on UpToDate were considered.

Each Pathway utilizes evidence-based UpToDate content, including topic reviews, medical calculators, charts, and recommendations.

Once you register from your in-house computers using the steps below, you will be able to access UpToDate remotely using the generated username and password.

Steps for Remote Access to UpToDate:

Registration process:

1. Log in to UpToDate from within your institution at www.uptodate.com/online

2. Click the Log-in/Register tab at the top of the homepage.

3. Create your own username and password by filling in the fields on the UpToDate registration page.

4. After you complete your registration, a confirmation email will be sent to your email address containing information on how to install the UpToDate Mobile App.

NOTE: After logging in from within the institution, you can access it from outside the institution for 90 days. After the external access period expires, an internal login is required to continue access from outside the institution. With each internal login, the access period is automatically extended by 90 days.
